9 Ryuha Lineages of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu
Nine samurai and ninja traditions, passed from Takamatsu Toshitsugu to Masaaki Hatsumi and studied together as Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu.
Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi was born on December 2, 1931 in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
He is the Now FULLY RETIRED and has passed the schools on to various teachers to carry on the 9 traditions as well as granting the IBDA - International Bujinkan Dojo Association to Senior DaiShihan Richard Van Donk to continue spreading the arts worldwide. Hatsumi was the Grandmaster of the 9 schools that comprise the ninja traditions and it is from these teachings that the Bujinkan exists. He once called these teachings Togakure Ninpo Taijutsu and now refers to the combined teachings as Budo Taijutsu. These teachings are taught at the Bujinden “Place of the Warrior Gods” in Noda, Japan.
